When is the new publication date for Fury Bound? And why did it change?

The new publication date is March 3, 2026, the same date that the Dire Bound deluxe hardcover will publish in the US. The date changed because the publication rights to the series were acquired by Little, Brown in the U.S., and it will take a little longer to get the book through production, printed and into stores. In exciting news, Fury Bound will now simultaneously be available in a deluxe hardcover, eBook and audiobook. The new publication date also means we’re getting to spend a little more time working on editorial with our amazing new editors, which is going to result in an even better read. We know this means having to wait a while longer for the book, but we promise it will be worth it! And we’re going to work on some special content to help pass the time.

I pre-ordered Fury Bound and that pre-order was canceled. Why?

Amazon is not able to migrate preorders when a title switches to a new owner (our new publisher), so you will need to pre-order the book again. On the plus side, you now have more formats to choose from!

When will book 3 be published?

We’re still figuring this out with our new publishing team but as soon as we can possibly get it in your hands. We are hard at work on the book already! And the series remains a trilogy.

Why did you choose to partner with a traditional publisher?

We have been astounded and humbled by the incredible response to Dire Bound, and we’re honored that so many people have loved Meryn and the start of her story. However, there’s a limit to what we’re capable of doing as indie authors. Even though there are two of us, there are only two of us, and we’re unable to widely get our book into stores on our own. In partnership with Little, Brown/Requited in the U.S., and PRH/Transworld in the UK, we’ll now be able to get the book into tons of retailers, and we’re also so excited that both publishers are going to be able to give readers what they’ve been asking for—namely, stunningly beautiful hardcovers for the whole series and duet audiobooks!

Wait, did you say there are audiobooks coming and they’re going to be duet?

Yes and YES!!! They are going to be narrated by Avery Caris and Gabriel Michael and we could NOT be more excited, ahh!!

What can you tell us about the new print editions of Dire Bound?

The new paperback releases on August 26, 2025 in the US and you can preorder it now! It will have a beautiful embossed cover (!) and will be the same trim size as the indie paperback edition (6 x 9). It will also include a playlist and, most excitingly, a version of a chapter from Stark’s POV in the backmatter.

We’re also so excited that the UK hardcover will be coming out at the end of August, too! There will be lots of exciting updates to come, so keep your eyes peeled for more news very soon. And never fear, the US will also get a fabulous special edition hardcover, in March 2026. We’ll share more about both editions as soon as we can!

There have been some slight text edits in Dire Bound to clarify a couple things, and the book went through a new round of copyediting. However, there were no substantial changes and if you have purchased/read the original edition, you do not need to repurchase or reread the book to understand Fury Bound.

Wait, is it Direbound or Dire Bound?

Originally, it was Direbound, but shortly after publication we discovered a major issue…when you search for “Direbound” on a certain behemoth retailer, it auto-directs you to a search for wirebound notebooks. 🙃 We were unable to change the title ourselves but our publisher has been able to make that change. So, it’s Dire Bound. Or Direbound. Whatever calls to you.

I live in X country. Will your series be published in my country or my language?
